No band has ever really sounded like R.E.M. and no band probably ever will. These days that may actually be a good thing but throughout the 80's and much of the 90's they were one of the greatest acts around. This song is one of the most clever commentaries on "Generation X" that there is. It also was the first track on an album (Monster-1994) that , in dedication to Kurt Cobain, completely redefined R.E.M.'s sound.
